Step by Step Instructions
1. With the PICC line placed inside the box, attach the lid and slide it forward.
2. Push the locking tip through the hole at the end of the box. You will hear the lock CLICK when it is closed.
3. The PICC Guard can be worn with or without a fabric or elastic net dressing. Gauze may be placed under the dressing for additional comfort if needed.
4. When IV access is needed, use one hand to hold the PICC Guard and push the tabs with your thumb to break open the device.
5. Once opened, the lid cannot be reattached (tamper-evident). Remove the lid and discard the device. The IV can now be accessed.
